The R/V CAPE HATTERAS is owned by the National Science Foundation, operated by the Duke/University of North Carolina Oceanographic Consortium, and managed by Duke University. The CAPE HATTERAS is berthed at the Duke University Marine Laboratory on Pivers Island in Beaufort, North Carolina.
